My Antique Mug: Thanks Mom...
Share and Enjoy:
This mug I got from my mom. I think it’s been in my mom’s house since she was little. So it’s about forty to fifty years of age and I think it's China-made. It’s kind of funny actually, that the old stuffs tend to be stronger than the modern or newer ones in terms of their material quality. My mom also has some other antiques that still stand there for almost a decade (I think she got the antique stuffs from her grandparents). And it’s good to see these stuffs from the oldies. The mug was handed to me when we got married, and it’s been a pleasure receiving this valuable gift. The material looks so solid and yeah, it’s a fine ceramic mug. We use this mug on a daily basis, and although it’s much older than me, it’s still solid and strong. It’s also resistant to hot water, and it doesn’t, like stained or spotted inside although we pour hot water into it. The design is hand-painted flower, a simple yet looks attractive, an inheritance from old times when everything was made simple. The color is also simple; it’s a combination of light color. Hmm… this is surely the item which I take so much care.
