Happy Diapers Don't Make Me Happy

There is a cheap brand of diapers that my sister in law has introduced me to. It is called Happy. It is cheaper by like 10 cents per piece than let's say, Pampers. We tried it because new babies soil their diapers rather frequently, so a cheap disposable nappy seemed to be the most logical solution.

The problem came when the baby became older. She soiled her nappies less and the most that we change her in a day is 4. But with Happy we have to change her nappies up to six times because they leak. We thought that its capacity is not enough for baby's peeing because her milk consumption has increased already, but we thought wrong. After closely observing, we realized that the surface of Happy diapers is not that absorbent and therefore the urine that passes on the surface is not absorbed immediately. And so depending on the baby's position, changes are, urine will leak even if the diaper is not yet full.

When we realized this, we tried several brands and we didn't use Happy anymore. Even if it is cheaper, it is still not worth it. Probably if it is 50%, then it is worth the number of changes. But since it is not, it is better to use more expensive diapers like Huggies.

One more thing, the diaper is bulky and ill fitting so they always show behind my baby's shorts of panties. Ugly diapers!

The only good thing is that they come in blue, yellow, and pink, and so you can match them to your baby's bottom clothing. But still, I would not recommend this diaper.
