Artemis Fowl, By Eoin colfer
A while back, I was introduced to the Artemis Fowl books, and I fell in love with them immediately. After checking the first book from the library, I sat down and began. At the beginning of the book, I was a bit skeptical of it's "greatness". At the beginning, the author, Eoin Colfer, didn't have a good grasp of the characters just yet. But I continued to read, and found that the book was actually really good. I fell in love with Artemis, a cold, rutheless criminal mastermind, who happens to be only 12 years old. Throughout the story, we find out about a secret underground world of fairies, with their incredible technology. Artemis, who is planning to restore the family fortune, tries to capture a fairy and hold it up for ransom. Will he succeed? You'll have to read to story to find out.
As the story goes on, we find out that Artemis really has a heart under all that ice. I highly recommend reading this book.
