Android is all set to its stage for a grand exhibition of its power with the new Samsung I7500 Galaxy. This phone is filled with Google applications from YouTube, Picasa and many more. The phone has a 5MP camera which is pretty good.
This phone has a really good search widget for those who spend a lot of time on Internet searching for things. Android is a project of Google which is still at work with new features added all the time and some rough edges being polished.
I used this phone for one day after getting it from my friend's shop. It's a fully touch-screen phone with an elegant look. I had a great deal of fun using this phone. I love a phone which has lots of features and this phone disappointed me big time. This phone doesn't have any video dialing which is a must at this day and age. It doesn't support multi-touch gestures and the camera features are the same. I wish they added a few features like the one in Sony Ericsson Satio. This phone doesn't have a FM radio which is a must again. It doesn't support flash in the web browser and it doesn't support DivX/Xvid videos.
I have noted down some key features from the box in which it comes.
Here are the key features:
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support
3G with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps
Android OS v1.5 (codenamed Cupcake) without customizations
3.2" capacitive AMOLED touchscreen of HVGA resolution
Qualcomm MSM72000A 528MHz CPU, 128MB RAM
5 MP autofocus camera with LED flash, geo-tagging, YouTube and Picasa integration
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and GPS receiver
Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and turn-to-mute
Digital compass for automatic navigation of maps
Standard microUSB port for charging and data
microSD card slot with microSDHC support
8GB internal storage
Stereo Bluetooth (A2DP)
3.5 mm audio jack
Apart from many useful features missing there are many new to explore. I would recommend users to go ahead and take a look at this phone. You can visit Samsung's official site and take a tour of this phone.
