Picked this up in July and I'm quite pleased. The installation was easy (not wall mounted) and it worked great out of the box. I mainly use it to play games and watch movies using my Xbox 360 (componant cables). The picture quality is amazing. There's pretty much no ghosting and the contrast is great. You have to fool around with the picture settings a bit to get your desired look, which I prefer the vivid preset with a few adjustments to lower color and up the brightness, but the end result is quite satisfying. The speakers have a great sound to them too, a huge improvement over earlier models, but a $100 speaker system would add a lot. As for the lower scores on picture quality and the extra features: the picture quality is great, but the blacks are just too black. If you have a lighter shade of black next to complete black, it's incredibly hard to tell the difference. This brings me to my next point, I have yet to find a way to control the contrast. This would fix the problem, but I've yet to find a way to adjust it. Great television if you're looking for a mid range HD TV.

That contrast problem is troublesome in a $1400+ television. I've heard this is still a pretty good set in its class, and will definitely give it a hard look. Frankly though, I think I'd want something with fewer issues surrounding its graphics display.
