Devon Violets by Sutherland
China teacups are something you don't see a lot of people decorate with anymore. Back in the day when we used to go to my grandma's house for dinner on two Sundays a month, her china teacup collection was a source of fascination for me. I think she must have received them as gifts, or even bought a few for herself.
She had a nice hutch and the shelves were lined with a variety of authentic china teacups. It was so quaint and she always kept them clean and dusted, and even often used them to serve tea with dessert.
It is because of these memories that I love my small china teacup collection. They were hers, of course. My sisters and I divided up her collection and, over the years, my daughters have picked out their favorites to have in their own homes.
The teacup pictured is called "Devon Violets: made by Sutherland.
I am admittedly a poor photographer so you can't see the gold paint hand painted onto the handle, but the bottom of the cup is signed by "Len" in the same gold paint.
I don't really use my china teacups because of the possibility of lead in them. But I enjoy the memories they evoke when I look at them.

Very nice.
I love to have bone china .I have tea set and yes it is good quality but very expensive item. The thiner the edge of tea cups the better quality it is. More delicate the more high quality. I loe to keep as many as possible :). Its design has simplicity yet aligent.
