Mother's Day Murder by Leslie Meier

Share and Enjoy:

Mother's Day Murder is a Lucy Stone Mystery by Leslie Meier.  I really enjoy reading her books.

Our heroine, Lucy Stone, resides in Tinker's Cove, Maine.  She is a reporter for the newspaper in this small town, and it is amazing how she can always seem to find something newsworthy to write about.

This novel delves into a feud between two very competitive moms, Tina and Barbara, and their two very competitive daughters.  Each mother is trying to make her respective daughter the best in whatever she attempts.  And each mom is a go-getter in her own right.  When Tina is murdered right on the tennis court, and a woman fitting Barbara's description is witnessed running away from the scene of the crime, things really begin to heat up in Tinker's Cove.  Lucy doesn't think that Barbara is guilty, and she wants very much to find out who committed the crime.  Plus, she is having problems with her own daughter, Sara, complicating things for her.

Mother's Day Murder is fun and entertaining, just the type of mystery I enjoy reading.  I like the heroine, and I also like Leslie Meier's writing style.  Whenever she comes out with a new book in the Lucy Stone Mysteries, I am always waiting in line to read it.
