Double Security for Online Banking.. A Great Idea!

My hubby has just opened a bank account in Panin Bank, and to ease transfer within their bank network, they offered my hubby their online banking service. It only cost him $1 for activating the online banking account, and for activating our online account my hubby needed to activate his ATM card first. And for activating the online account is very easy: we login using the ATM card number and PIN, then we were required to fill in some information, including a PIN (password) change for online banking. They got what they called ‘Token’ for double-security purposes, and this token should be ordered first before we can continue our online transactions. My hubby immediately ordered this token, and in a few days it arrived on the branch where my hubby opened his account. This token comes with a box and an instruction leaflet. It contains number and an arrow (used to turn on/off) button. The online banking service provided by Panin is excellent; they even provide a login demo and how to execute online transactions (transfers) using the token. First of all, we need to login using our ATM card number and password, and once we are able to open our account, we can go to transfer page (we can transfer either to other Panin account or to other bank accounts within their network). Then we need to fill in the form of transfer: the amount we wish to transfer and recipient account. Turn on the token, enter the PIN for the token, and press 1 or 2 depending on the demanded number on the online display/screen. Then input a range of numbers on the online screen to the token, then the token will display a range of numbers (these numbers will be changed every time we want to get a transaction done) that we should input to the online screen. Last step, we need to confirm our online transaction, and that’s it! It may sound pretty complicated but it’s surely the best way for keeping our account safe when doing the online transactions. For me, it’s been the best online banking service I’ve ever known. I love the double-security idea from this bank. Bravo Panin!
