This notebook is clearly meant for gamers and is different from all other notebooks out in the market. I have bought this and have been using it for quite sometime now. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels which sometimes is considered a bit too high for a 17-inch screen, but it is necessary as it is a gaming notebook.
After spending sometime using it I found that keypad is very well laid out and we can get a hang of it pretty soon. This notebook is very fast and packs a very good graphics card.
Here are the details:
1. Resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels 17-inch
2. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
3. Four USB ports
4. Very good Sensitive track pad
5. CPU and memory utilization
6. X9000 Core 2 Extreme Edition 2.8 GHz
7. 4 GB of DDR 2 667 MHz
8. Two NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX graphics cards in SLI
With these components on board it is definitely expected that the performance of this machine is shattering. Dell has done a great job by putting two of the fastest mobile graphics solutions in the same machine.
The only worry about this machine is the battery power which runs out very fast. When I was playing games on it, it was able to give back up for up to about 40 minutes and not more. Its best to play while connected to the main power. Other wise I have to say that this is by far the best notebook for gamming that is currently available.
