Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler

  I bought this Grill/Griddle/Panini Press for my daughter when she moved into her first house.  I thought it would be the perfect thing for her to grill burgers, fish, veggies, sandwiches, etc.  I even liked it so well that the next Christmas I put out the word that I would like to have one of these for myself.  Santa, being the reliable soul that he is, made sure that  I found my own Griddler under the tree that year. 

  I have discovered a new love for grilled vegetables, especially mushrooms, zuccini and asparagus since using my Griddler for this.  I love using it for breakfast since I can open it flat to griddle pancakes on one side and sausage or bacon on the other.  And grilled sandwiches are amazing.  I can make them as thick as I want and the grill will accomodate and adjust to it.

  It has separate plates for griddle and grill and they are so easy to remove and then just pop right in the dishwasher if I choose.  Of course it's easy enough to just wash them with a sponge and detergent. 

  The only negative I have found is that the little plastic cups that come with it to catch the grease or drippings seem so lightweight that they wind up sliding around and never seem to be in their correct place when needed to catch runoff. I wish that Cuisinart had created them in a way to clip to the Griddle so that they would always be in place to do their job.
