My friend has a 2000 Dodge Dakota and I have driven it on several occasions. I own a Honda Civic and I can definitely say that I am a car person. The truck seems really shaky when I drive it. I don't know if that' standard of trucks since I don't drive a lot of them, but I don't like it at all. There's plently of room in the bed of the truck, but if I'm driving around people, only the passenger will be able to sit comfortably. I could fit 3 other people in the back, but they'd be in a fold down seat and would be all squished together. He's had to replace the sound system in it because the stock radio and speakers weren't that good. Also, the A/C takes a long time to kick in. Overall, I'm not very impressed, but I might be saying that because I'm partial to my car.

I guess you won't be buying one of these any time soon, huh? I don't like those fold down seats either... I don't think that they are really made to be used all the time, just for once in a great while and for children, unless you have a shrink ray in the bed of the truck... then maybe adults too. lol!
My husband and son bought two used Dodge Dakota's about a year apart. We will never buy Dodge again. My husband has replaced the transmission twice in his and once in my son's. We have heard a lot of other stories of transmission problems with Dodge trucks. Hopefully the bugs have been worked out of the new ones.
I don't think that a shaky truck is actually a good sign :) I know that ours is a solid little beast and drives more like a luxury car than a truck...could just be the model, year or perhaps repairs are necessary ...either way, thanks for the info.

Its hard to go from truck to car sometimes, I know going from my Blazer to my Cougar is difficult for me.
Wow, this truck doesn't sound very good.

Who could resist a truck named after my son or was my son named after a truck? Either way it is a wonderful name.
