Van Ness Enclosed Cat Litter Box
Share and Enjoy:
I was a little worried when I bought the Van Ness Enclosed Cat Litter Box. I thought maybe my cats wouldn't want to use it because of it being covered. They use it without a problem, though. Especially my two younger kittens. They really seem to like using it. Basically this is a jumbo sized litter box with a hood that snaps down over the pan. There is a swinging clear plastic door in the front of the hood that allows your cat to go in and come out of the box. Being clear plastic, though, you can easily see if there is a cat in the box and the cat can easily see out. Maybe that makes the cat feel more secure?? This box also contains a carbon filter on the top of the hood. This helps to control odors. We are a multiple cat house hold and I have several litter boxes in use. With this one I have found that it is best to use a scoopable litter and clean this pan at least once or twice a day. If you don't, the hood just seems to trap the odor and when you take it off, whew! All I can say is wow!! I imagine some cats wouldn't like going in an enclosed area, but I think if you introduce the box while the cat is young, you won't have a problem.
