Staples Double-Sided Matte Photo Paper

Since getting into photography recently, I have been spending a lot of time looking at my photos on my computer, but I haven't gotten prints much.  I kept hesitating, because I tried a few photo print places, and they all seemed to change the colors on my prints when I wanted them to be just as I had taken them.

I decided to try to print out a couple of black & white and sepia tone photos from my home printer.  I happened to have a sheet or two of glossy paper, and I didn't like the shininess of the paper, and when I tried to frame the photo, the glossy paper stuck to the glass.  I decided to look for some matte paper instead.

Staples happened to be having a sale on photo paper- half off!  So, I picked up this photo supreme matte paper to try it out- it comes with 50 sheets of 8.5 x 11" paper, so it is easy to use in the printer.  First of all, when I opened the paper, I was really skeptical, because it definitely is NOT like the matte photo paper you get when you get prints at the store.  This basically feels like a thick cardstock, with the surface of the paper being ever so slightly more "rough" feeling than regular paper. 

I printed out a test photo- and was very happily surprised!  The photo turned out beautifully!  The colors stayed very true to what I wanted, and the picture was very crisp and clear.  This paper also passed my "framing test" easily- it looked great in the frame, and did not stick to the glass.  Since there was no glare from the paper, the photo looks great on the wall.  I would definitely recommend this paper to anyone!
