Come to the Quiet - It starts right where you are!

Share and Enjoy:
After reading Jim Hohnberger’s first book, “Escape to God” I was wondering how on Earth I could ever manage to gain an experience like he had.  He addresses that and so much more in his second book, “Come to the Quiet”.

It’s not really about moving to the wilderness, although many people do end up moving out to the country.  Consider this short excerpt from the book:

“We must begin where we are.  I would like to suggest that the best preparation to moving to a quieter location is to begin reordering and quieting your life right now.  If you wait until you are in a better location, you many never start the slowing down process or simplifying your life.” - pp. 76

Most people become so entrenched in their day-to-day activities of life that they fail to realize just how much they are passing by.  Family time, quality time with children - but most importantly- quality time with God.  Jim shares his experience, strength and hope with us, and is a true inspiration to anyone seeking a simpler, closer spiritual walk with God.

I give “Come to the Quiet” an A+.  It’s an excellent read for all the family members.
