"Perfect" by Judith McNaught
Okay, yes I'm a guy and guys don't read romance novels. However, my wife loves to read just about anything including romance novels and one day she was telling me all about the book she had just finished reading called "Perfect." I love listening to my wife talk to me about books she's read because she gets so animated and I can tell reading is something she genuinly enjoys doing.
Now, myself, getting me to sit down and read anything for more than a few minutes is like pulling teeth. It just doesn't happen unless I either have to or else my wife reads something to me. In the past, she has read me books before and I've enjoyed it since I can follow along pretty good.
Well, after reading this book, she decided that even though it was a romance novel, it also had enough other stuff (Intrigue, mystery, murder, etc) that I would like it, so she proceeded to read me a chapter a night until it was done. I was certainly not prepared to like the book at all and was only listening mostly to humor her, but I actually enjoyed the book. It has a great story line and while, yes, there is the romance aspect, the plot of the book is really good and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
