My husband has worn the Levis 501 shrink-to-fit blue jeans for many years, but lately when he purchases them the size it SAYS it is, is not the size it REALLY is! I know it's hard to believe, but you cannot trust the size label! Unbeknownst to my husband is that the Levis made in Mexico are the offending culprits! When he shops for Levis, he looks and the size and then makes the purchase. It's not until he's gotten the jeans home, (because he assumes they're the right size and doesn't try them on in the store), that he realizes the jeans fit him like he's going to a flood!! When he first tried the jeans on at home, he actually walked into the room and jokingly said, "I think I got taller!" These jeans are at least 2 or 3 inches shorter than the tag says they are! Unfortunately this has happened to my husband more than once while buying Levis! He never looks to see if they're made in the USA.
Just a buyer beware warning; not all Levis are created equal!
Wow! 501s are my favorite jeans. I had better pay attention!
Ugh! I always try to buy whats made in the USA only but sometimes it is hard to do. I hate that a company that has been around as long as Levi Strauss is sending jobs to mexico :(
Oh My, I laughed when I pictured it, but it's not really funny. What a scandal!
