Winsor Pilates 20 minute workout DVD

Share and Enjoy:

I had done some pilates classes with a real instructor at a local gym and after my membership expired, I decided to try the late-night informecial special of Winsor Pilates. It comes in a DVD with step-by-step guide and a 20 minute workout that you do 3 times a week for "total body sculpting" and it looked easy enough.

The first thing that I was not aware about was the small print in the contract that you "sign" when giving your credit card information to them is that it signs you up for a program to send you videos and different equipment like stretch rubberbands every month to help motivate you more. After receiving the second DVD with the rubberbands, I called the company and complained about not being told in an easy obvious manner that I would be receiving them. They allowed me to send everything back and get my money back minus the shipping/handling fee of the second DVD and equipment.

The first DVD is the beginning and I would suggest getting it if you are truly motivated at home by a person on a TV screen. What I do not like is I had to pause/play the step-by-step guide numerous times before going straight into the 20 minute workout of the different pilates moves. If I do not do the video all the time, I forget the moves and it goes so fast that I have to go back through the guide and re-learn everything. Stopping and playing during the workout portion is difficult to do whilst learning how to do the movements.

As far as sculpting and toning my body. I have seen a little improvement on this but I do blame myself for the most part for not being commited to the program. I believe if someone were to be motivated at home in front of their TV, then they would be able to follow along with the program. I would suggest having your own background music though and maybe putting the lady on mute to inspire you even more.

  1. That happens to me as well-I constantly have to pause the DVD to make sure I'm getting the moves right!
