One of Tom Cruise's earlier movies. Directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner.) Very visually beautiful movie. Good for sci-fi and/or fantasy fans! Good against evil, quest storyline. This has the never before seen director's cut and the theatrical version with music by Tangerine Dream. Tim Curry is great-his makeup is amazing. The second disk has many special features like lost scenes, alternate opening, rare photos, storyboards, Brian Ferry's "Is Your Love Strong Enough?" music video, photo galleries, publicity photographs, two trailers, production notes, cast and filmaker bios, scrip to scene comparison, audio commentary with Ridley Scott, etc.. 1 hour and 54 minutes (director's cut.) 1 hour and 30 minutes (theatrical version.) Rated PG. Dolby digital sound. Captioned.
