Infinity Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Share and Enjoy:

Prior to using the Infinity upright vacuum, I used to have a bagless Dirt Devil. The only reason we decided to go with the Infinity was because we wanted the cyclone method of collecting dirt. These cyclone type of vacuums are all the rage right now, claiming to be more powerful and never lose suction. Honestly, I couldn't tell a difference after about a month of using this Infinity vacuum.

At first, this vacuum was easy to push and took little effort to clean. I have been using this vacuum now for just over a year. It has become more and more difficult to push and is taking more passes to pick up little things. The suction does not seem to be what is was when we first bought it.

Cleaning of the vacuum is not as easy as it says it is. First, you have to pull the inside filter out, unlatch the drop hatch, and use your hand to push the debris out of the container. The hatch is then not easy to make click shut. I usually have to put it flat on the ground and use my body weight to push down as hard as I can. There is a separate upper chamber full of mini cyclones that you have to periodically empty and wash out with water. After that, you have to let it dry overnight before using ti again.

This vacuum is not too heavy, but it's also not light. The handle on the detachable container makes it easier to lug around, but I would not suggest it for a house with many floors.

  1. Hmm, think I will steer clear of this one- thanks for the warning. I would like to get a vacuum with the cyclone, but I will have to research a little more I think.

  3. Well that's a bummer that it's not easier to clean. Interesting that it's harder to push now, I wonder if you could clean the wheels or something?

  4. We went through 3 vacuu cleaners in two years. All of them supposedly highly effective at removing deep down dirt in carpets. All of them were heavy and hard to clean out. Now that I have my Oreck, I'll never get sucked in to the this models got a tornado in its tank again.

  5. Thanks for sharing this honest information. We were going to get a cyclone vacuum cleaner, but decided they were too expensive right now. I am glad we did not go with one just yet. Your information has proved to be very helpful.

  6. Well the appearance of this one is nice, but even if it had gotten a better rating the price is a bit much for me. I go for the cheapy ones myself so I don't get disappointed when they don't meet my expectations. Thanks for sharing though!

  7. There just doesn't seem to be any really good vacuum that is affordable.

  8. That is just too bad this is hard for you to clean-for that price, you would expect it to clean itself!
