I thought this was a good book and worth my while reading. It is a book that really makes you think about ethics. Kate has a rare form of Leukemia and her sister Anna is the perfect match for bone marrow transplants and blood transfusions. Anna does not want to keep donating and hires an attorney because she wants her medical decisions to be her own, not her parents.

As I read the book, I could not decide who was more selfish - Anna or her parents. I definitely felt bad for Anna because she could not do the things that normal children get to do. She couldn't go to camp because what if her sister needed her. She couldn't play sports because it was too dangerous. But I also felt sorry for the parents. While they loved all their children, they needed Anna to help keep Kate alive. I wondered if I would allow my 13 year old to make her own medical decisions.

The end of the book is very dramatic and brought tears to my eyes. There was a twist at the end and you also found out what truly motivated Anna in hiring her attorney.
