We were quite surprised a few years back when our mortgage company sent us a letter informing us they no longer were offering home owners insurance and we were on our own to find a carrier. We panicked a bit because there was a limited time frame of when we needed the coverage or they would be charging us an arm and a leg through our mortgage. We luckily found Balboa insurance. I was very worried this would be out of my price range and it was the first time for us it wouldn't be escrowed so that worried me as well. I was immediately put at ease by their fabulous customer service over the phone. They walked me through the policy, gave me the coverage I needed and gave mean outstanding price for the year. When I asked them about payment plans they also were able to separate it so I only had to pay 200 dollar payments 4 times a year which was in our budget. I have luckily never had a claim through them but in dealing with them through my customer service calls I am confident in their ability to handle our claims if we have on in the future. I can't say enough positive things about this insurance company.

It is great when you find good home owners insurance. It can be nightmare finding a good company. I am so glad you found one that worked for you.

An insurance company that is polite on the phone? That is one very good step in the right direction! Hope you never need a claim processed to be able to check that part out!
