Net 10 Prepaid Wireless Service

Share and Enjoy:

Net 10 prepaid wireless phone service is, in my opinion, the best prepaid wireless service available.  The rates are simple and affordable, the coverage is great and the selection of available phones can't be beat.

Net 10's rates are a simple ten cents per minute, period!  Unlike some prepaid companies who charge you a daily fee, in addition to a per minute charge, there's no additional fees with Net 10.  It's a flat ten cents per minute, and five cents to send a text message.  And they have a variety of phones to choose from, from the very basic to phones with cameras, flip phones and web access.  No matter which phone you choose, the service is always ten cents per minute.

Long distance and roaming are included at the same low price.  The coverage is great and I have never had a dropped or failed connection.  Your minutes also carry over when you purchase a new airtime card.

As great as Net 10 is, I don't recommend it for those who use their wireless phones rarely or just for emergencies.  You see, each time you buy an airtime card, you are only given so much time in order to use your minutes.  For example, you are given one month to use a $30 card, or 300 minutes.  If you run out of month before you run out of minutes, you must purchase a new airtime card.  If you purchase a new card before your current card expires, your minutes will carry over.  However, you will begin a cycle of having lots of minutes to use in a certain amount of time.

For those who use their wireless phones frequently, my opinion is that Net 10 is the best prepaid wireless service.

  1. This is really good information. I might not have caught on to that "use within a certain time" restriction. Thanks!

  2. We are looking for a prepaid phone for my teenage daughter. This one sounds like it has great rates and if we can get a camera phone too that would be perfect. For her I do not think we will run into any problems with not using all of her minutes each month.

  3. Sounds like a great plan. At least you don't have to worry about a phone bill every month. I like that idea. Thanks for the information.

  5. That's a great plan, if only the minutes didn't expire every month! Great text rates - that's cheaper than what I currently pay for texting.

  6. Net 10... I'll make note of that if I ever get wireless service for my mom!
