AOpen FM56-PX Fax/Modem/Voice

Before installing a new modem, you need to first make sure that in the manufacturer's Web site to see if newer drivers are available. Do not use native Windows drivers, always install drivers from the manufacturer.you get the drivers that comes with the modem itself.

This modem AOpen FM56-PX has an internal PCI bus and a conexant chipset which is a controller-less modem. it is fitted with a reliable caller id.

It has a good playback volume and quality , but the record volume is very low.The record quality may be disturbed by the background noise, in other words there may be few distortions involved.

This modem is supported on Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.

The speaker volume and quality is good, but this is not compatible with the VoIP telephone adapters.

I have personally seen such modems. I can say this is pretty ok kind of instrument. Though i may not rate this modem as high quality, it can be used for any home use which do not reuire so much of high precisions in every aspect.
