Sony Playstation 3

I am not very big into video game, and am quite content simply owning the first Playstation.  That, however, has begun to change since my room mate brought home a brand new Playstation 3.  This thing is truly amazing.  The sound and graphics are unbelievable.  The controllers are wireless, but charge through the game console itself so there is no need to buy batteries.  Another cool point is that in many games you can control the movements of the characters by tilting the controller, and not hitting any buttons at all.  I personally that was just plain cool.  As of yet, there is not a huge selection of games out for the PS3, but that seems to be quickly changing.  The price has dropped to around $500 dollars, but that is still definitely on the steep side for me, and games are more expensive than PS2 games, so price is definitely an issue.  Plus you are going to want to go out and get a better TV and surround, trust me.  For any serious gamer, or if you have some spare Benjamins laying around, I would say go get one today.
