My eye doctor gave me a sample of the Acuvue Advance 2 for astigmatism and I was quite surprised with the clarity. I have never had a pair of contacts that were so clear. I can see just as well with these as when I'm wearing my glasses. The only thing that I don't care to much for is that you just can't wear them that long. I feel my eyes getting tired after about 4 hours and usually have to take them out. They are also quite large. This makes them a little difficult to get into your eyes and get off. They are also very visible by others even though they are clear. They extend beyond your iris and people can easily see the large bluish-tinted ring around them. I don't know of the price exactly since these were a trial pair but it's somewhere in the $25-$35 range for a set of 6 for each eye. I think I might ask to try another brand. I really like the fact that I can see so clearly but am happy about the amount of time I can wear them comfortably.

It takes a while for you eyes to adjust to contacts I think. When I first started wearing them 13 years ago I could only wear them 6 hours without having to take them out. Gradually that time has increased so now they are in about 16 hours a day.
Contacts are getting better and better for things other than general acuity. Good to know that they do work, even if the time is limited.
I have the same problem, even tried these but can't seem to see as clearly as with glasses. I keep trying though. Thanks for the information.
I did not know that contacts now came with a correction for astigmatism. I will have to ask my eye doctor about them during my next visit.
