Recreation / Sports Equipment / O'Brien Rail 137 Wakeboard

wakeboard 137 recreation image

The O'Brien rail 137 lies in the lower-end to mid-range area of the O'brien wakeboard spectrum. I have owned it for about two years now and have had no problems with it. It is a fairly heavy board, but this gives it great durability. The board is solid, it's been dropped, thrown in the back of a truck for transport, not to mention pulled up and down the river constantly. For 250-400 dollars I don't think one could ask for a better wakeboard. The only downside to this one that I can see comparing it to some of the brand new ones is the lack of "built in fins", the fins for this one are detachable making them also possible to lose whereas the new wakeboards have smaller fins, built right in due to the new slightly different shape. The detachable fins is especially frustrating for me because I happened to lose the fins for it, and this board does not handle well at all without it's fins. Otherwise, it's a wonderful product, as long as you don't lose the fins.
