1 Gb Flash Drive By Georgia Sawhook on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My last computer didn't have a CD burner and I wanted to transfer and save many of my files for backup. I went to Micro Center and found that they had 1 GB 2.0 flash drives for $15.99. It's also called a thumb drive.

It was so easy. It's USB 2.0 so all I had to do was put it into the USB hub on my computer and bring up Windows Explorer and click and transfer anything I wanted to back up and save. It was like having the old floppy disk except much more compact and MUCH more space on it.

I bought 2 of them and was able to back up so much of my files on it so if anything happened to my computer, I would have everything I needed on these flash drives. Awesome! I just went online and see that they now offer these for $9.99. That's $6 cheaper than when I bought them. So guess who's going to Microcenter to buy some more.
