10 Button Usb Gamepad With Vibration By userfriendly on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The generic 10-Button USB Gamepad with Vibration from DealExtreme caught my attention. First, I like the color blue. Second, it has a vibration function. Third, the form factor looks just like your typical Dual Shock Playstation controller. Lastly, the price is great! You can buy the said controller for only $13.10 with no additional shipping charge to anywhere in the world! Zip. Nada. Zero shipping cost.
After waiting for less than a month, I received the said gamepad. The packaging seemed to be cheap but what I'm really after is the functionality. When I plugged it to the USB port of my Windows XP SP2 computer, the operating autodetected it and it is usable. There's just one problem: When I tried using it in Force Feedback-enabled games, the GamePad doesn't seem to rumble. Then I realized that I need to install the updated driver included in the CD included in the package. After installing the driver, the vibration function is now operational.
The controller has rubber grips which makes it easy to hold. The quality seems to be okay considering the amount of button bashing I've done using it.
All in all, I recommend this product. This is a great product worth buying!

I have a similar PC controller with the exact same design with the image that you provided but, no DealExtreme label. My brother has used it plenty of time with such games that he installed on our PC while I find it difficult to use when it comes to fighting games, especially MUGEN. Probably good for action games and not for fighting I suppose.
