10 Minute Solutions: Pilates By SarahMichigan on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I received this DVD as a Christmas present several years ago, and it is the DVD I've ended up using the most out of my entire collection.

I've tried out some of the other 10 Minute Solution workouts, and I really like the general concept. They all contain five 10-minute segments. You can do one of them, all of them, or mix and match. It's easy to program the segments in any order you choose.

About the Pilates DVD specifically: this is my favorite among all the 10 Minute Solution DVDs. There's a segment for abs, one for legs and buns, a "sculpting" segment that uses hand weights, a fast-paced cardio segment, and a "Pilates for flexibility" segment. I like the sculpting and flexibility segments the best. The cardio segment is tough but really will get your heart rate up.

The instructor has her favorite phrases she uses over and over again ("Really nice!"), but in general, I like her instructional style. She's good about explaning good form: what muscles to concentrate on, not hurting your knees, and so on.
