1001 Things It Means to Be a Mom

I found this cute pink book at Office Max the other day when I was standing in the check out line.The bright pink color of the book caught my eye and I had to pick it up when I read the title:

1001 Things It Means to Be a Mom!

and under that title is says:

(The Good, the Bad, and the Smelly)

This is an adorable little book for Mom or a Mom to be.I bought it for my daughter because she will soon be a Mom at the end of this year.

The author, Harry H. Harrison Jr., interviewed many women in an attempt to understand what exactly it means to be a Mom.There are so many of these sayings that made me laugh and others that made me cry.I hope my daughter will find as much joy in reading them as I did.Some of these sayings she will soon understand, others she will understand as her child gets older.

There are 14 chapters in this little pink Mom book.Each chapter describes what it is like for a Mom at each particular stage of life.

Here are a few of my favorites in the book:

#86 ~ Being a mom means saying, "You can't do anything without me finding out about it" - and hoping they still believe you even when they're twenty.

#101 ~ Being a mom means realizing that perhaps the greatest gift in life is a baby.

#107 ~ Being a mom means headaches, stomachaches, heartaches, and exhaustion.And loving it all.

#1001 ~ Being a mom means knowing childhood ends but motherhood never does.

I think this book is a must read for all the mothers.I have enjoyed looking through it.I will enjoy reading and sharing these sayings with my daughter who is about to become a Mommy!
