I have been running 2 of these MTX 12"s in a sealed box with a cheap amp by Ultra Linear and it is the best system I have encountered cost wise. Obviously they will not provide you with the power of a Memphis 12' but this system hits harder than my Yamaha 12''s and way harder than my Kicker system with 1 10" sub and ZX300.1 amp. Including my amp I spent only $230 for a great stereo system and would reccomend these subwoofers to anyone whos looking for reasonable quality without the outrageous price.
