160 Gb I Pod By Andy Black on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I was watching an episode of Numb3rs on my 30 GB fifth generaton iPod while washing my face in preparation for the day. By some fluke accident, I flung the iPod across the room and it fell in the toilet! I was horrified and obviously it did not survive the swan dive. I was in luck, however, because that was the week Apple released the next generation of iPods.

I have been waiting literally for years in anticipation of the 100+ GB iPod. I got mine immediately and have been overjoyed. I have two iPods--one for music and one for portable movies and TV shows while on long commutes or waiting for my girlfriend during hair appointments. I have always been disappointed with previous generation iPod's low battery life when it came to video: I could get 2-5 hours max. With the 160 GB, I have gotten at least 10 and there are still a few green bars left. An added bonus and energy-saving feature is the ability to set screen brightness under Settings. I find this incredibly useful. Sometimes I do need that extra brightness, but sometimes even the lowest (darkest) setting is enough for adequate viewing.

I love the sleek and compact design, the responsiveness of the click wheel, and the many new features that are available with this ipod. I am a VERY satisfied customer!!
