18 Privat Reserves By whitedice11 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My 2003 BMW 330Ci needed a new set of shoes, so off to the web I went. After searches through www.tirerack.com and www.discounttire.com, I settled on a set from discounttire.com. I ordered a set of four 18" Privat Reserves, hoping they would add the extra edge to my car to set it off. I was extremely excited when I recieved them and opened them up. They were high quality, and INCREDIBLE looking wheels. That night I put them on. I noticed though, the next day, that in direct sunlight that these wheels weren't as much colored "forge gray" as they were "grayish brown". This upset me, and I have since taken the wheels to a custom powdercoating shop and got them perfectly colored matched to my steel gray car. But the wheels turn heads, are high quality (not a single piece of damage in four months of driving), and require a little bit of elbow grease to clean. They're great wheels, but there are better ones out on the market for a little bit more cash, which might save you money if you have to get these Reserves custom painted.

Sounds like a great pair of rims. Sorry to hear that you had to have them recolored but it sounds like they worked out eventually.
