18 V Dewalt Hammer Drill By Disneymuck on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

The Dewalt 18v cordless Hammer drill is a staple in professional contractors toolboxes for good reason. This drill is a very durable drill and can take a beating. I have dropped it off of 6 foot ladders multiple times and it just keeps performing. Batterey life is good XRP model type battery but not quite as good as some of the new lithium ion type batteries out there on the market today. The torque on this drill is more then adequate and the hammer drill feature is nice. This drill is a little heavy approx. 5 lbs so exttended use is tiresome but does balance well as it is more of a t type drill with the motor placed behind the batterey instead of centered over it allowing it to stand on its own on most flat surfaces. Overall this drill is a good buy and I would give it a 4.75 out of 5.
