1999 Dodge Grand Caravan
By houdini16409 onWe bought our 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan last year with a 153,000 on it. We just needed a bigger vehicle for our family and my husband is a huge fan of minivans. I personally hated them. I can now say I am hooked on minivans and when this one breaks down and we need to replace it, a minivan is the only vehicle I will look for.
We did not want to spend a lot of money just because gas prices are so high and we already have one car payment. We bought the van for $3000, and even though it has high miles it was in near perfect condition. Besides regular maintenance items, we have not had to do any work on the vehicle.
Our van is white in color and it has a 3.8 liter engine. We have the four bucket seats and a bench versus two benches in back. It is so nice to easily be able to get the kids in and out of the van versus a car. I was so impressed for such an old van how quiet it ran.
Both my husband and my families have owned several Dodge minivans and have had nothing but luck. We all have the theory that they will run forever. We plan on keeping this van for probably another year before replacing it unless something goes wrong with it. We will trade it in on another Caravan.
We are excited to take a roadtrip with this van this summer. It is nice for the long car rides because you do not feel so crammed. I highly recommend you check out Dodge minivans if you are in the market for a new vehicle. You may be surprised like I was.

Glad that you are starting to fall in love with Dodge minivans .
Sounds like a good car. Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy your road trip this summer in your van!
lot of bad press about dodge sometimes but i know a couple people who swear by them
My brother has had a Caravan for years and has had no major problems with it. It's been great for his family!
Sounds like it works for you -- but I'll buy a minivan when they make them invisible, as some comedian said! LOL! It's just too much and too suburban for me.
