1999 Honda Civic Lx By Tony on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

My 1999 Honda Civic LX is black, with gray cloth interior and the gold package.

This car has been very reliable and has had no major problems with it, except the muffler rusting out sooner than it should have.

The car came equipped with power doors, locks and a powered moon roof. This is a basic car and one designed for reliability not luxury.

The small 4 cylinder engine was definitely lacking in pick-up, but handled cruising at higher speeds fine. I wish it had a little more pop to the engine for merging on tot he highway.

The interior and exterior of the car were pretty plain in my opinion and had very few bells or whistles. I do like the gas mileage it gets as well as the knowledge that if taken care of properly, it will last a very long time.

For a no frills, long lasting car, I would suggest considering a Honda Civic.

The car is comfortable and attractive too. I love this car for its style and look. As you said it is long lasting too, I think that is an added advantage.
