Chetan Bhagat, the Author of one night @ call center, Five point some one and The three mistakes of my Life have came up with a new book. This time it is the story of his marriage.
The story isabout Ananya, a south indian[Madrasi]) gal and krish, a north Indian[Punjabi] guy. from the pointhow they met in IIMA[Indian Institute of Management, Ahemedabad], a premiere management Institute in India. from being classmates, their relationship grew as friends and eventually lovers. According to Chetan, In India love marriages in India get actualised when
Boy loves Girl and the Girl loves the Boy.
Girl's family hasto love the boy and the Boy's family has to love the girl.
Girl's Family hasto love Boy's Family. Boy's family hasto lovegirl's family.
and if the Girl and Boy still love each other. They getmarried.
To enjo this book, the readers must understand the linguistic and cultural diversity of India. The divide is huge in the case of Punjab and Tamilnadu and Chetan have narrated that story in one of the best ways possible. I started reading this book in one of my journeys from my office and I was so stuck up in the book that I did'nt even realised that I've reached my destination.
Plot: Krish and Ananya met each other as classmates in IIMA, a casual conversation started the friendship, which grew in to Love. Both of them got good jobs and Krish went to Chennai(Madras) to make Ananya's parents love him (this part is one of my favourites) and once they accepted Krish, It was Ananya's turn to impress the Krish's parents which she was able to do in the righteous way. The hardest part was themutual acceptance of theFamily to reach the final point of Marriage.
