2001 Impala By Cory Budgell on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

So, My fiance drove this car, and it was amazing. The thing is a beautiful giant. I loved it. We were driving around, made a left hand turn, at an intersection, and some guy came out of nowhere doing about 110 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, through the intersection, and tboned us. This cars size saved my life. If we were in anything smaller, I would have been decapitated, easily. The sidewalls of the impala are beefy, and kept it from caving in any more than it did.

The air bags went off, and caught my fiance, so she was safe, we got twisted around pretty hard, the keys got ripped out of the ignition and everything, but nobody was injured. I have 100% faith that it was all because of this car.

I really look forward to getting one of my own, simply because I still feel safe in them.

As far as speed and handling are concerned, the Impala has both. Its got real power under the hood, and really good pickup.

Cargo space is awesome too, the trunk could easily fit anything from a bar fridge to a trunk full of camping gear. Plenty of room in the front and back, Im a tall man, and fit easily in the back when neccissary.

Tried and true! LOL Glad no one was hurt! I was never much of a fan for the body style of the Impala but it sounds super safe and that its was more important then what a car looks like on the outside.

and also i don't know if this can be considered a "luxury car" haha that's a little wishful thinking
