2003 Fender Us Standard Telecaster By Tony on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I purchased my US Fender Telecaster new in 2003. It is sunburst in color with a buitiful flame. I opted for the maple fret board as well. The guitar comes stock with two Fender single coil pickups, a three way toggle switch, volume and tone knobs.

I have found the quality of the American made Fender guitars to be superior to the Mexican versions of the same models. The only thing I am not happy with on this guitar is the input jack. It is very loose and if your guitar cable is not secured, it will rattle and that rattle will be amplified.

This Telecaster has the very distinct Telecaster sound. I feel this sound is great though many amplifies, but really shines through a Fender tube amplifier. It is very versatile and is a quality made instrument.

For those looking for a quality, American made guitar, the Fender Telecaster is a safe bet.

I have the same jack problem, and use plumbers tape at the top for a nice fit. A pice of thread is wrpped to hold it in place, but works to rid the amplifying rattle!

I am a harsh critic. I am honest and straight to the point. If I really like something, I will......
