2005 Ford Mustang By Indygirl on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
I love my 2005 Ford Mustang convertible. One of my favorite features is the ability to change the colors of the dashboard lights. I am also very impressed by the sound quality, even when the top is down. If I could add any feature, it would be an audio input for plugging an ipod or other device directly into the sound system. This is a new feature available for the 2007 model.
The vehicle has been extremely reliable. I did have electrical problems with it following the installation of my alarm, but that was due to the installer.
I did have some traction issues last winter. At that point I just bought some bags of water softener salt and placed them in the trunk. That seemed to resolve the problem.
I would not recommend this vehicle for anyone who needs to carry more than two adults. There is very little back seat space and a full sized adult in the back seat would be very uncomfortable.

I wasn't ever really into Mustangs ..I'm a corvette aficionado myself but its good to learn about other cars
I love Mustangs! How cool is it that you can change your dashboard lights?! I would love to have that option in my car. :o) Glad to hear you were able to solve your traction issues and I agree...definitely a cruising around car versus a road trip car with more than 2 people.
Cool, changing color dashboard lights! NEATO! Sounds like a great adult going out/date car!
My husband has a 2004 Mustang and you are right...they really aren't meant to carry more than 2 people and they are a little too light in the rear for winter driving but, man, they are sexy cars aren't they?
I love the newest generation of Mustangs! I've had my eye on a Legend Lime coupe (only produced for the 05 and 06 model years) and hope to get one in a few years when the prices for a used one aren't too high. I'm envious!
I agree with you about the rear seat leg room in the Ford Mustang... It's terrible! They should have just made it a two seater sports car.
I love the idea of being able to change the lights on the dashboard, just a neat, fun feature. Mustangs are great, reliable cars. Bags of water softener salt in the trunk to solve your traction problems, interesting.
