2005 Yamaha Wolverine ATV
By Kakoa onMy husband and I were looking to get an ATV we could both ride and enjoy. He ended up getting us a 2005 Yamaha Wolverine. We could both ride on it at the same time, which you're not really supposed to do, but we did fit. It has a foot lever that you switch gears with, but it is basically automatic. I'm not good at driving stick shifts, but there's no clutch to worry about, so I could drive it too.
My husband ended up getting another ATV, so now this Wolverine is all mine! I love riding it because it is powerful enough to get up steep hills and the 4-wheel drive lets me go just about anywhere. It is much heavier than a typical sport ATV so it is really hard to do any tricks with it. I can spin my tires and jump it with no problem, but I can not do donuts or wheelies very well.
This ATV is great for beginners like I was because it is easy to figure out and does not have too many special features to worry about. It is very sturdy, strong, and has a great suspension. The rack on the back comes in handy when transporting large, heavy items.

Good to know this is a good choice for beginners like me.
Glad to know you got a second one - since your first one was not meant for two (naughty naughty). Good choice for a beginner.
Sounds like a good choice for a beginner. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like you got a good deal, getting it free from your husband.
