2006 Polaris Fst Classic Snowmobile By Lorianna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I was introduced to snowmobiles by my friends who had quite a bit of experience with them. I am too much of a chicken to ride one, so we did not do anything big and sophisticated, just a short, slow ride through a nearby field.
The “sled,” as snowmobile fans call them, was 2006 Polaris FST Classic. The machine looks very stylish and feels solid, secure, yet comfortable and not bulky. The maximum rider's weight for it is 180 lbs, height 5'10”, so it is not for the tallest riders. The sled is very reliable, according to my friends, although they said they had experienced some trouble with the reverse at first. However, after that was taken care of and a few other minor adjustments were made, they have been greatly enjoying the machine. It starts right up even in the coldest weather and rides smoothly. They have taken it on longer rides, and it never broke or gave them any trouble.
