2007 Topps Chrome Box Review
By CivilWarBuff on2007 Topps Chrome is the extension of the ever popular Topps Chrome line. Based on the regular base set, except with chrome on the cards, they make great investments. I purchased a 2007 Topps Chrome box, and here is the result. The box was nicely packaged, and each box contains 24 packs with two bonus packs. One pack had two Alex Rodriguez 'Road to 500' cards, and the other had a numbered red refractor of Mike Lowell. The box was somewhat strong at the beginning, with cards of superstars such as Pujols, Rodriguez, and Reyes. I recieved three of the Mickey Mantle story cards and 4 of the Mantle Home Run History. I recieved a pleasing 7'Generation Now' cards, with a white bordered one of Nick Markakis.I recieved three white bordered refractors which were very weak, the only noticble one was Travis Buck. Most of the cards were centered perfectly, but a few had some issues with quality controll. My autographs [ 2 per box] were very weak. I recieved a white bordered refractor autograph of [former] Astros catcher Humberto Quintero, also his rookie card. The other one was not much better with a rookie refractor of Blue Jay Adam Lind. While those autographs were tough pulls, the resell value is nil. 2007 Topps Chome is a relativly cheap and fun box to break. There are some very valuable cards that sell for a lot of money, and it is very funn to collect the colored parallels of players. The resale value is fairly good, but with all the autographs rookies, only time will tell.
