2007 Toyota Matrix By allisonrachael on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Who can argue with Toyota's reliability? Although this Matrix is completely new, a 2007 model, I feel very confident in that aspect of my decision. Their comprehensive warranty seems to cover most eventualities, and I can see my family using this car for a long time (why else would we have bought it, right?). The Matrix boasts a postiviely AMAZING amount of cargo room. The rear seats fold completely flat, making it very easy to haul boxes or whatever you need to transport from point A to point B. The car handles very well; it is a very smooth ride, without losing your awareness of the road, if you know what I mean -- smooth but not too smooth. The gas mileage is fantastic; I believe we are averaging about 35 MPG (combo city and highway). My one complaint is that they have discontinued the AWD option. There are many other safety options that make the Matrix a good choice, but AWD would have made it perfect as far as we're concerned.
