2008 Scion XB
By Snicker on - Updated Mar 30, 2012I purchased this 2008 Scion XB in July 2007.I purchased the silver color because I'm not much on washing my car and figured the color wouldn't show dirt as much as white or the other darker colors offered.I absolutely love this car.The engine is a 2.4L 158HP.I purchased the manual over the automatic because it make me feel like I'm driving a sports car.This car gets up and goes also.There is no lagging thanks to the larger engine compared to their 2006 XB.There is a lot of room in the car.Tall people will fit in there with room to spare and the back seat is also roomy.
The drivers seat arm rest seems too high for me making my shoulder shrug so I don't use it.The seats have a manual lever to make your seat higher or very low.I like it low because it make me feel cool but it's not very safe.I have a hard time seeing the curbs when I turn because I'm too low and the mirrors seem to be in the way.There's a lot of window room so if you ride low, the visor that's not long at all doesn't do anything for you.When you're up high, it doesn't help much either because it's a small visor.These cons are minor compared to the joy I get out of this vehicle.There's not a lot of space for carrying groceries but it works well for me.For a brand new car and the reliability of Toyota/Scion, this car is a steal!

Update On May 10, 2008: One con I failed to mention is the car seems to be a little difficult to drive in a straight line on a very windy day.
Wow I googled some images of this vehicle. Very nice and it looks roomy. I wonder how the gas mileage is?
You get some great gas mileage from your car!! The silver color is pretty sharp!
Several people in my neighborhood have these. My concern would be its stability on turns. This is a stupid question, but is it a hybrid? For some reason I thought that Scions were. I like the look of it, and it would be great for my BIG dog, but I guess I'm not ready to buy another car yet. I appreciate your describing both the pros and cons of this vehicle -- and I love the silver too!

I don't like riding low, and an armrest that lifts my shoulder would be really bad for me.
