3 Hour Catamaran Whale Watch
By Jennifer Pritt onI went on a Whale Watching Cruise through Boston Harbor Cruises and had the time of my life! My boyfriend and I wanted to do something different while we were in Boston, so we chose to take a cruise out to the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.
For most of the cruise, they do ask that you stay inside the boat and stay seated because the boat is moving so fast toward the destination. The seats are like recliners. They are very well cushioned and comfortable. I really liked the seating because it didn't make me feel like I was in a crowded space. The inside of the boat is air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter.
As you are going along your cruise, the guide tells you about whales and the different wildlife that you may possibly see. They show video clips on large flat screen televisions before you arrive at your destination.
The boats have a full bar that serves beer and wine. They also have a lunch and dinner menu that has everything from sandwiches to fruit.
Once you arrive at the destination or whales or other wildlife are spotted, you can go out onto the boats three decks. We saw so many whales, birds, and we saw a couple other fish near the top of the water.
For anyone looking for an awesome activity to do in the Boston area, I would definitely recommend Boston Harbor Cruises. They offer so much and are extremely nice and helpful.
For the 3 hour whale watch, the price is $36 for an adult and $30 for a child under 12.

Great little cruise out of Boston, for those who need their whale fix! I love these gorgeous creatures and won't miss any opportunity to revisit them in the wild.
Sounds like lots of fun. I miss that type of trip. But sea sickness has hit hard these days, so no boat rides for this momma.
That sounds absolutely amazing, I would love to do this!
Have always wanted to do this. Only three hours from Boston-not far.
This is something I would love to do one day!
