3-Level Dumbell Rack
By Kakoa onWe found this dumbbell rack on sale at Dicks recently and decided to get it on the spot. There was one set up to look at, but I wish we would have looked at it a little close. Overall, this is a great rack, but it does have its flaw.
Pros:
Space- This rack has 3 tiers to organize your dumbbells on. If you are using a range of light to moderately heavy weights you will have plenty of room to store them all. If you are a heavy lifter and start your weights at around 40's or 50's, you may end up running out of room for your super heavy dumbbells.
Weight Capacity- This rack holds up to 1,000lbs of weight. This is plenty of room to work with, even if you are a heavy lifter.
Size- We have our rack right up against the wall; it does not take up much room at all. The rack tiers are set on a slanted frame so you can access each tier easily.
Cons:
Width of Shelves- The shelves are just a bit too short to completely support Hex dumbbells. I'm not sure if it would be different with other types of dumbbells, but Hex style doesn't completely fit. That's not too much of a problem though. They still rest supported on the shelf well enough that they will not fall.

I like your list of pros and cons. Thanks for the information.
Sounds like great storage for weights for the most part.
I hate it when weights don't fit perfectly on the shelves. I always think they are going to fall off and hit my foot! Thanks for all the cons...it's important to know the good with the bad!
Looks like a pretty good rack for the money. I would hate it if the weights did not fit it right though it would make me nervous that one would fall on someones foot.
Looks like a nice setup! I don't have any dumb bells but I would gather its nice to have them all organized and within easy reach. Thanks.
This reminds me of the set that is available in the gym at my work. They are pretty well but sometimes the metal they are made out of makes your hands stink. :o)
Love your dumbell rack!! It looks so professional!! Your pros definitely outweigh your cons!!!!
kakoa this is still a nice rack for the mid level home lifter. It's sleek, doesn't take up too much room and holds a good variety of the most often used weights.
This looks very nice, but it's a shame that it didn't fit your weights as well as it should.
