We ordered this toaster a while ago. Our bagels were getting smushed and mangled by our old toaster. We ordered the Black and Decker, 4 slice toaster. It looked good. It has a setting for toast, or bagels. I actually had no previous experience with a toaster like this, before.

It is a good thing I love bagels. This toaster really does a good toasted bagel. I have no complaints with this feature. But when it came to making toast, look out.

This new toaster, by Black and Decker really knew how to toast, raw toast. Excuse me, "bread. This thing will dry out your bread so quick, it will break apart and crumble, if you look at it too hard. The birds didn't even want to mess with it.

I tried to put some butter on a slice of toast and the toast crumbled into sawdust, right in my hand. Of course, this might seem funny, in some juvenile, sort of way.

Why haven't I returned the toaster, you might ask? I like a good toasted bagel, that is why. So now, we have the old toaster for toast and this 4 slice "crematorium" for bagels.

If you enjoy a good, hot, toasted bagel in the morning, this might be what you are in search of. If you are still eating regular toast in the morning, you might want to pass on the 4 slice toaster, by Black and Decker.
