I have to say this remote is great to have around the house and doesn't really need to be in just one room. There are 6 different remote settings and it lights up. Theres a VCR, Audio, DVD Player, TV, Cable/Satalite, and an AUX button. So if you have only a TV and DVD player in one room that needs a remote and then a VCR and Stereo in another that are also in need of a remote this remote is for you. The thing I LOVE about this remote is that I don't need a book to get codes because it talks and searches for the codes for you and tells you how to set up your remote. I know when I have had other universal remotes that when you lose the book you basically lose the remote. The only thing that I dislike about this remote is that the battery life isn't the greatest because of the talking and the brightness of the lighting on the remote, but I am glad that I have finally found a universal remote that meets my needs.
