6th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival 1980 Stein By eaforeman5 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

This collectors item is the Stein from the 6 th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival, of 1980. This stein is designed in pewter with the bell. It is made to look authentic and is engraved with the year. This is a true to life size stein. It is just like the ones of Ye Olden days! It has a very wide mouth and I have used it as a pen and pencil holder. It has a shiny finish, and makes an interesting conversation piece. Looking at the huge handle on it, you can picture a noble, or townsman from the era having a drink of ale. I am not sure how many were made. I am not sure if they have continued to make them each year. They were made to last, unbreakable and well able to survive many generations. It always reminds me of being at the festival and seeing all the costumes, and thinking of fourteenth century England. We will pass this on down through the generations. It is hard to believe that the stein was made so many years ago. It just goes to show , how long this festival has been arround.

I practically lived at these fairs in the late 80's and into the 90's! TRF and Scarborough. They do make them every year. Yours is literally a classic. Enjoy. good write
